This beautiful Edwardian Suffragette floral pendant has been crafted with delicate, open worked leaves, flowers and stems of 15ct Yellow Gold.
Bright pearls sit in the centre of each bloom, and nestle within the leaves on either side of the stunning central Peridot. This bright green stone is teardrop cut, approx. 1.50ct, and is complemented by a deep purple Amethyst which is approx. 0.75ct.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which were chosen to counter the masculine women’s rights stereotypes put forward by opponents. Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes!
This is a stunning example of the era and style – a truly beautiful historic piece to be treasured.
